C M punk vs. Jeff hardy is one of the nice storyline I have seen in recent years or i say in 21st century.
Before feuding with Jeff C M punk was fan favorite. Feud between him and Jeff started when C M punk cashed his MITB contract to win world heavyweight championship after a match between jeff hardy and edge on pay per view extreme rules which match was won by jeff hardy. After in on raw punk retained his championship on triple threat match against edge and jeff hardy. On pay per view the Bash 2009 punk lost match to hardy by disqualification when he hit referee after being affected by fake eye injury. Punk lost match but retained title as match ended in no disqualification.
Later on smackdown episode jeff questioned punk on his eye injury which made punk into turning heel. In episodes smackdown when hardy and punk were tag team partners, hardy done same thing about fake eye injury while punk was about tag him. After that on several episodes punk cuts promos on hardy’s life style with help of his own straightedge life style. Once punk claimed that he is better than hardy because he doesn’t drink and doesn’t smoke and having drug-free lifestyle which hardy is not having. On pay per view night of champions 2009 hardy won world heavyweight championship form punk. The feud continues through summer slam 2009 pay per view where punk regained championship form hardy in TLC match in which punk was attacked by the undertaker after the match to continue feud with him as hardy was leaving WWE as his contract expires.
On august 28 2009 episode of smackdown punk beat and retained championship in match with jeff hardy in steel cage match which coast hardy to leave as match was booked as looser leave WWE forever. This match ended feud between jeff hardy and C M Punk and hardy’s WWE career also.
